Assembling the
Equipment
1. Interlock the end of the hexagonal
aluminium pipe (10a) of the telescopic
arm (10) and the end of the device
attachment (29) handle as far as they
will go.. Whilst interlocking the two,
ensure that the nose (10b) of the hex-
agonal aluminium pipe (10a) fits into
the nut (29a) at the end of the arm
(see small image).
2. Fasten both parts using the screw
sleeve (8)
Swivelling the cutting head:
1. Press the locking button for the angle
adjustment (
2. Now you can swivel the cutting head (
29a) into the following positions
(0 / -15° / -30°). Use the ratchet steps
and allow the locking button to click
back into place.
Filling with chain oil
The blade and saw chain must
never be without oil. In case of
non-observance a high level of
wear occurs on the blade and saw
chain.
The equipment is fitted with an oiling
mechanism. As soon as the motor is run-
ning, the oil flows to the blade.

Regularly check the oil level in the in-
spection window (19) and refill with oil
in time.

Use Grizzly Tools bio oil, which con-
tains additives to reduce friction and
wear. This can be ordered from our
service centre.

If Grizzly Tools bio oil is unavailable,
use chain lubricating oil with a low
proportion of adhesive additives.
1. Unscrew the oil tank cap (18) and
pour the chain oil into the tank.
2. Wipe off any spilt oil and close the oil
tank cap.
Initial operation
Observe the country-specific and
local authority regulations. Do not
work during commonly accepted or
mandatory rest periods.

Before starting, check:
- The saw chain tension
- The oil level
- All nuts and screws are sitting firmly
•
Ensure suitable protective clothing.
•
Adjust the working length of the tel-
escopic handle before switching on
the equipment.
•
Remove the protective blade cover
only at the last minute.
•
Put on the shoulder strap.
•
Check you are standing safely.
•
Check your working surroundings.
Putting on the
shoulder strap
Always wear a shoulder strap
when working with the equip-
ment. Always switch off the
equipment before loosening the
shoulder strap. There is a risk of
accidents.
1. Fix the carabiner hook of the shoulder
strap (21) to the eyelet (12) on the tel-
escopic handle (10) of the equipment.
