Clamps for lifting horizontal plates individually or in bundles (used in pairs with 2-legged sling or multiples
of 2 with 2-legged slings and lifting beam), circular plates (use in 3s with 3-legged sling) or welded-plate
assemblies.
TLC: thin sheets included.
1. Suspend the sling(s) previously fitted with the clamps.
2. Make sure there is clearance under the load so as to position the clamps.
3. TLR: measure the height of the plates to be lifted. Take the pins (5) out of the bolts (4/6). Adjust
to the correct pitch by sliding the mobile flange (2) on the clamp's upright (1) and then put the
bolts (4/6) back into the right holes and lock the position by fitting the pins (5).
4. TLH/TLR/TLC: push up the lever (2) TLH/(3) TLR manually to insert the plate and drive it home
into the throat of the clamp.
5. Position TLC clamps thanks to the handle (7).
6. When using in multiples of 2 : make sure the lifting beam is correctly adjusted.
7. Check all clamps are correctly positioned (see sketch) and then perform lifting.
8. To release the clamps: lay the load down stable and take off clamps manually.
Make sure plates are always driven home into the throat of the clamps.
The plates must be rigid enough not to bend while lifting operations are led.
Adhere to the recommended sling angles: 45 to 60° for TLH/ TLR ; 45 to 90° for TLC.
Make sure to line up the slings on the same plane as the clamps.
TLC: make sure the sole (8) and the slide (2) are flat on the load.
TLH/TLR: do not use in case of very long thin plates.
