To achieve optimum extraction results, please
observe the following notes:
– The drilling tool being used may not project
over the dust collector 17 or 29 (Example for
an SDS-plus drill bit: Max. total length ap-
prox. 160 mm, working length approx.
100 mm).
– Pay attention that the dust collector faces
flush against the workpiece or the wall. At
the same time, this makes working at a right
angle easier.
– After reaching the requested drilling depth,
first pull the drill bit out of the drill hole and
then switch the machine off.
– Check the condition of the filter element 23
regularly. Replace a damaged filter element
immediately.
Mounting/Removing the Dust Extraction
(see figure F)
To remove the dust extraction, push the release
button 10 and pull off the dust extraction to-
ward the front.
If required, pivot the auxiliary handle 12 to the
side.
To mount the dust extraction 14, slide it via the
guide grooves 21 onto the support guide of the
machine until it can be heard to engage.
Integrated Dust Extraction with Dust Box
(see figure G)
The filling level of the dust box 9 can easily be
checked through the transparent flap 22.
Empty the dust collector in good time, other-
wise the suction performance will be impaired.
For removal of the dust box 9, push the two un-
locking buttons 11 and pull the dust box down-
ward out of the dust extraction 14.
Before opening the dust box 9, gently strike or
tap it against a firm surface to loosen the dust
from the filter element 23.
Open the dust box flap 22 on the bottom side
and empty the dust box.
Check the filter element 23 for damage. Replace
it immediately when damaged.
Shut the dust box flap 22 and reinsert the dust
box from below into the dust extraction 14 until
it can be heard to engage.

External Dust Extraction (see figure H)
For dust extraction with a vacuum cleaner, the
adapter box 24 (accessory), which is inserted
into the dust extraction 14 instead of the dust
box 9, is required.
For removal of the dust box 9, push the two un-
locking buttons 11 and pull the dust box down-
ward out of the dust extraction 14.
Insert the adapter box 24 from below into the
dust extraction until it can be heard to engage.
Place a vacuum hose 26 (accessory) onto the
vacuum connection 25. Connect the vacuum
hose 26 with a vacuum cleaner (accessory). An
overview for the connection of various vacuum
cleaners can be found at the end of these in-
structions.
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the
material being worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially det-
rimental to health or carcinogenic, use a special
vacuum cleaner.
Adjusting the Drilling Depth (see figure I)
The required drilling depth X can be set with the
depth stop 27.
Insert the SDS-plus drilling tool to the stop into
the SDS-plus tool holder 1. Otherwise, the mov-
ability of the SDS-plus drilling tool can lead to
incorrect adjustment of the drilling depth.
Without switching the power tool on, apply it
firmly to the drilling location. The SDS-plus drill-
ing tool must face against the surface.
Push the button for depth stop adjustment 16
and adjust the depth stop 27 so that the clear-
ance X in the figure corresponds with your re-
quested drilling depth.
