Attaching the Video
Camera
The video camera to be attached must
weigh less than 8 kg. Do not attach one
which exceeds the weight restriction.
Preparation before attaching
the video camera

Install the battery pack and a cassette in
the video camera.

Loosen the plate lock lever and pull the
camera plate out while pressing the
plate detaching button.
When attaching professional video
cameras (DSR-200/200P etc.) with the
tripod adaptor, remove the 3/8 inch
camera screw a from the platform.

professional video camera
to the tripod

Align the pin and the camera screw on
the camera plate with the holes on the
bottom of the video camera, and tighten
the camera screw firmly. After attaching,
make sure that the video camera is
securely fastened to the camera plate.

Hold the video camera handle and the
platform, then horizontally slide the
camera plate attached to the video
camera onto the platform until you hear
a click. Balance the video camera by
moving it backward or forward, using
the scale on the camera plate (40 mm.
max.), then tighten the plate lock lever.
Sliding the camera plate diagonally will
make the attachment insecure and may
damage the camera plate.
To remove the video camera

Hold the video camera handle and the
platform, loosen the plate lock lever,
then pull the video camera out with the
camera plate while pressing the plate
detaching button. Be sure not to knock
the video camera grip against the tripod.

Detach the camera plate from the video
camera.

Replace the camera plate onto the
platform.
