INSTALLATION
FOR ALL INSTALLATIONS
Choose between "Undercounter Cutout" or "Self-Rimming Cutout"
template cut lines. Cut along the inside of the template on the
correct line for your installation.
Position the template on the countertop. The centerlines are
provided on the template to help with alignment. Check for
adequate clearance between the fixture, faucet, and backsplash
(finished wall), and make sure the fixture will not interfere with the
cabinet during installation.
For multiple-bowl installations, additional support will be
required between bowls installed in countertops that are less than
1" (2.5cm) thick.
For multiple-bowl, undercounter installations, a minimum
distance of 3-3/8" (8.6cm) is required between bowls.
Trace the cutout opening on the countertop with a soft lead pencil.
This is the CUTTING LINE.
Locate the faucet hole centerlines on the countertop. Re-check for
adequate clearance between the backsplash, faucet, fixture, and
cabinet.
For most undercounter installations, a minimum distance of 2-7/8"
(7.3cm) is required between the faucet centerline and the edge of
the template. For self-rimming installations, a minimum distance of
1-7/8" (4.8cm) is required between the faucet centerline and the
edge of the template. Adjust the template as needed. Remove the
template, and save it for consumer reference.
Cut out all required openings in the countertop by cutting inside the
pencil line traced from the template. For laminate-type countertops,
make sure all exposed non-laminated surfaces near the cutout
area are finished and sealed to prevent water absorption damage.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not cut, drill, or
sand the countertop while it is positioned over the fixture.
Proceed to Page 4 for Undercounter installations.
Proceed to Page 6 for Self-Rimming installations.
