There are different models of AirMaXX SL:
• SL - Standard Model
• SL-Q – with Quick-Fill Coupling
• SL-M – with short range transmitter alphaMITTER
• SL-3C; 3N – with additional medium pressure connection
• eXXtreme SL – for repeated heavy use in trainings
• SL-CLICK – with alphaCLICK cylinder adapter
Operation
For operation different models – refer to AirMaXX SL
Operating Manual.
(1) Connect compressed air cylinder(s) to the SCBA.
(2) Adjust back plate.
(3) Don apparatus and pass the prior to use check.
(4) Don full face mask and check facepiece-to-face fit.
(5) Open cylinder valve(s) fully.
(6) Connect lung governed demand valve to full face mask.
During use
(1) Regularly check tight fit of full mask and lung governed
demand valve.
(2) Leave area immediately if warning signal or escape
command sounds.
When the Second Connection is in use, more air is
consumed and service time is considerably reduced.
After use
(1) Remove lung governed demand valve or full face mask.
(2) Close cylinder valve(s).
(3) Activate flushing mode of lung governed demand valve.
Do not throw off apparatus. This could damage the
valve and any remaining compressed air could escape
suddenly. This could cause fatal injury to you or to any
bystanders.
(4) Remove compressed air breathing apparatus.
(5) Remove compressed air cylinder(s).
