When the recharging of the battery pack (14) starts,
the device will stop beeping, the rechargeable bat-
tery pack battery status icon will be visible on the
parent unit (with image and sound receiver func-
tion) BACKLIT LCD display with the number of bars
according to the charge status of the rechargeable
battery pack (14) and the power indicator LED (5)
- LED around the ON/OFF button (2) will change
from red to orange.
• Rechargeable battery pack charge status (14):
when the recharging of the battery pack (14)
starts, the power indicator LED (5) - LED around
the ON/OFF button (2) will turn orange. When
the rechargeable battery pack (14) has been fully
recharged, the orange power indicator LED (5) -
LED around the ON/OFF button (2) - will switch
off if the parent unit has been recharged while
switched OFF, or will turn green if the parent unit
has been recharged while switched ON.
- Luminous LED indicator (4 orange LED) for noise/
sound levels received from the child unit. (4)
The 4 LED on the luminous indicator (4) indicate
the intensity of the sound/noise picked up by the
microphone (6) on the child unit (with image and
sound transmitter function): they progressively
light up from the left to right indicating the level of
sound/noise from minimum to maximum.
- Alarm/reminder signal:
the alarm function beeps when the date and time
set for the alarm in the main menu expires . At the
same time the alarm/reminder function mode icon
starts to blink on the BACKLIT LCD display (8).
The alarm will beep for about 30 seconds, followed
by a 30 second pause; this cycle will be repeated
until the multi-function button (9) is pressed. The

• Correct wireless radio connection with the child
unit (with image and sound transmitter function):
if the parent unit (with image and sound receiver
function) is correctly connected via wireless to
the child unit (with image and sound transmission
function), the BACKLIT LCD screen (8) will display
the image of the child in real time and the icon
illustrated in paragraph 2.2.4 "Backlit LCD Display"
in this manual will appear.
If the parent unit (with image and sound receiver
function) is unable to establish a connection with
the child unit (with image and sound transmission
function), or the connection is lost, the BACKLIT
LCD screen (8) will display a blinking icon as illus-
trated in paragraph 2.2.4 "Backlit LCD Display" in
this manual will appear. After about 2 seconds the
image will disappear and the screen will go black; if,
after 15 seconds, the connection has not been re-
established the warning alarm function will start to
beep. As soon as the connection is re-established,
the alarm will switch off and the BACKLIT LCD
screen (8) will display the image of the child in real
time again and the icon

ceiver function) is switched on, always check the
operating status of the child unit (with image and
sound transmitter function)! After switching on the
units, always check that the signal transmitted is
actually received at the distance and/or in the area
the parent unit is placed.
It is recommended to ask someone to help you test
the units; ask them to transmit from the child unit
(with image and sound transmitter function) whilst
you move around the reception area with the par-
ent unit (with image and sound receiver function)
to check that the signal is strong enough.
2.2.4 Backlit LCD display (8)
The backlit LCD display (8) allows users to view the
following icons arranged in a row in the white area:

Rechargeable battery pack (14) charge sta-
tus icon on the parent unit. When the icon displays
3 bars, the rechargeable battery pack (14) is fully
charged.
When the icon displays no bars
from black turns red, this indicates that the re-
chargeable battery pack (14) power is running out.
When the rechargeable battery pack (14) is being
recharged, the number of bars will increase from 1
to 3.

Transmission status icon. If the parent unit
(with image and sound receiver function) is correct-
ly connected via wireless to the child unit (with im-
age and sound transmission function), the
will appear on the BACKLIT LCD display (8). If the
parent unit (with image and sound receiver func-
tion) is unable to establish a connection with child
unit (with image and sound transmission function),
or the connection is lost, the icon on the BACKLIT
LCD screen (8) will blink.
As soon as connection is re-established, the
icon will be visible on the BACKLIT LCD display (8)
again.
The number of semi-circles displayed in the trans-
mission signal status icon, from 0 to 3, indicates the
transmission signal level.

indicates the volume level (5 bars) on the
parent unit (with image and sound receiver func-
tion). There are a total of 10 volume levels. Each bar
represents two volume levels. When volume is set
to minimum, the icon on the BACKLIT LCD display
(8) shows one bar and the parent unit (with image
and sound receiver function) loudspeaker is OFF.

indicates the unit is operating in voice acti-
vation mode.

indicates that the zoom2 image fi lming func-
tion is ON.
