c. Installing Battery Pack - Hovercraft
A: Turn the battery compartment latches outward and open the battery compartment door.
B: Connect the battery pack to the connector of the TRC5 and insert it.
C: Close the battery compartment door and turn the latches back.
d. Installing Battery - Remote Control
Slide the cover off the battery compartment at the back of the remote control, insert a 9V battery with the polarity as
indicated on the bottom of the battery compartment, and slide the cover back on.
Check if the remote control works by moving one of the control stick at the front ; the red "POWER ON" LED should
light up. If it doesn't, check the polarity of the battery. If that doesn't help, install a brand new battery.
6. Operation
a. Piloting the TRC5
1. Put the TRC5 on the ground and switch it on by turning the on/off switch (fig.1 #7). The lift fan will start to run, the

NEVER push the stop button while the TRC5 is on water.

- Push the left stick forward to make a right turn.
- Push the right stick forward to make a left turn.
- Push the left stick forward and pull the right one back simultaneously to make the hovercraft spin to the right.
- Push the right stick forward and pull the left one back simultaneously to make the hovercraft spin to the left.
b. Tips
• The TRC5 is not designed to go up hills or other inclines.
• Operate the TRC5 on calm water, without waves, turbulence or strong currents ; not on rivers or streams!
• Do not operate the hovercraft on salt water: salt will corrode metal parts and void the warranty.
• Hold the remote control so the antenna points up, not towards the hovercraft. Keep the TRC5 within range (20m).
If it should go out of range, lift the remote control higher (antenna still pointing up) to increase the range.
