Charging of battery pack 2 starts when battery pack 1 is 80%
charged. When battery pack 2 is 80% charged, simultaneous
charging of both battery packs up to 100% starts.
This allows two battery packs to be charged in less time than
previously.
• When the charger is used to charge two battery packs at the
same time, charging of battery pack attached to the battery
pack attachment section 2 starts after battery pack attached to
the battery pack attachment section 1 is fully charged (i.e., in
the same way as the conventional charging system described
in page 24).
• If you attach the other battery pack while one battery pack is
being charged, charging of the other battery pack does not
take place until the first battery pack is fully charged.
• The charge time for a nickel metal hydride battery pack is less
than that for a lithium-ion battery pack. To charge a nickel
metal hydride battery pack and a lithium-ion battery pack
with efficiency, it is recommended to charge them in either of
the following ways:
— Attach the nickel metal hydride battery pack to the
attachment section 1 and attach the lithium-ion battery
pack to the attachment section 2, then start charging them.
— Attach the nickel metal hydride battery pack alone to one
of the attachment sections and start charging, then attach
the lithium-ion battery pack to the other attachment
section.
