1 Introduction
The Sandberg USB to Serial Link (referred to as
"the adapter") enables you to connect a new
COM port to your computer via its USB port.
The adapter supports simple serial
communication between COM (RS232) units,
such as a modem or mouse, and your computer.

2 Installation in Windows

1. Start your computer in Windows and connect
the adapter's USB plug to your computer.
2. Windows will automatically install the
necessary drivers.
Your Sandberg USB to Serial Link is now installed
and ready for use.

3 Connecting devices

To connect a device to your computer via the
Sandberg USB to Serial Link, follow these steps:
1. Remove the adapter from your computer.
2. Connect your serial device to the adapter.
3. Connect the adapter to your computer.
NB: The Sandberg USB to Serial Link cannot be
used for serial 25-pin devices.
