Failure to comply with the safety instructions described below can result in electric shock, fire, explosion,
destruction of the device and installations.
Do not use the device in an explosive atmosphere or in the presence of gas or flammable smoke.
Do not use the device if it appears to be damaged, incomplete or poorly closed.
Before each use, check the integrity of the insulation on the cords, housing and accessories. Any
element where the insulation is damaged (even partially) must be sent for repair or discarded.
Observe the environmental conditions of use.
Do not modify the device and do not replace components with similar ones. Repairs or modifications
must be done by competent, accredited personnel.
Definition of measurement categories:
Measurement category I corresponds to measurements taken on circuits not directly connected
to the network.
Example: protected electronic circuits.
Measurement category II corresponds to measurements taken on circuits directly connected to
low-voltage installations.
Example: power supply to electro-domestic devices and portable tools.
Measurement category III corresponds to measurements on building installations.
Example: distribution panel, circuit-breakers, machines or fixed industrial devices.
Measurement category IV corresponds to measurements taken at the source of low-voltage
installations.
Example: power feeders, counters and protection devices.
