ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
TOOLS REQUIRED FOR ASSEMBLY

IMPORTANT: If you encounter a problem with your tractor
while installing the sun shade, seek help from a qualifi ed
mower repair facility. DO NOT operate your tractor if the
Operator Presence Control Switch on the seat does not
function properly.
REMOVAL OF PARTS FROM CARTON
Remove all parts and hardware package from the carton.
Identify all parts and hardware by referring to pages 2 and 3.
CAUTION:
disconnect the negative terminal from the
battery or remove the battery from the tractor
before installing the sun shade.
Do not tighten the bolts and nuts completely until
instructed to do so.
1. Insert the front tube into the stitched sleeve on the front
fl ap of the canopy. Insert one end of the front tube into
the stitched sleeve on one side of the canopy. Slide it
into the sleeve far enough that the other end of the tube
can be inserted into the stitched sleeve on the other
side of the canopy. Center the tube in the canopy. See
fi gure 1.
2. From the rear of the canopy, slide the top tubes into the
stitched sleeves on the sides of the canopy. Fit the ends
of the top tubes onto the ends of the front tube inside
the stitched sleeves. See fi gure 1.

3. Insert the small ends of the upright tubes through the
loops on the canopy's mesh screen and then fi t them
into the top tubes. The small holes in both upright tubes
shown in fi gure 2 must face to the inside.
4. Fasten the top tubes to the upright tubes using two 1/4" x
1-1/4" hex bolts and two 1/4" nylock nuts. See fi gure 2.
5. Insert one end of the support rod into the small hole
in one of the upright tubes. Insert the other end of the
support rod into the small hole in the other upright tube.
Flex the rod slightly to insert into the second hole. See
fi gure 10.

6. Raise the seat and measure the width of the seat bracket.
Most brackets are 8"-11" wide. See fi gure 3.
7. Insert the inner cross tube into the outer cross tube.
If the seat bracket is 8" to 11" wide, align the 4th hole
in the inner cross tube with the hole in the outer cross
tube. Fasten the tubes together using one 1/4" x 1-1/4"
bolt and one 1/4" nylock nut. For wider or narrower seat
brackets, you may need to align different holes in the
cross tubes when you attach the Sun Shade to your
tractor See fi gure 3.
