8. Measure the distance from the top of the rear fender
to the bottom of the fender's rear fl ange as shown in
fi gure 4. If the distance is 2-1/2" or less go to step 9. If
the distance is more than 2-1/2" skip to step 14.

9. Slide the foam sleeves onto the bent end of the base
tubes. See fi gure 5.
10. Insert the right and left base tubes into the upright tubes.

11. Insert the cross tubes into a stitched sleeve of the mesh
basket. Insert the inner and outer basket frame tubes
into the other stitched sleeve of the mesh basket. See
fi gure 6.
12. Align the ends of the cross tubes and basket frame tubes.
Attach the basket to the assembled upright tubes and
base tubes using two 1/4" x 1-1/2" hex bolts and nylon
wing nuts. See fi gure 6.
13. Skip to step 18.

14. Slide the foam sleeves onto the bent end of the base
tubes. See fi gure 7.
15. Insert the right and left base tubes into the upright tubes.
Fasten the base tubes to the upright tubes using two 1/4"
x 1-1/4" bolts and two 1/4" nylock nuts. See fi gure 7.
