16. Insert the cross tubes into a stitched sleeve of the mesh
basket. Insert the inner and outer basket frame tubes
into the other stitched sleeve of the mesh basket. See
fi gure 8.
17. Align the ends of the cross tubes and basket frame
tubes and attach to the base tubes using two 1/4" x
1-1/2" hex bolts and nylon wing nuts. See fi gure 8.

18. Raise the tractor seat. If the threaded ends of the seat
bolts are facing out, proceed to the next step. If the ends
of the seat bolts are facing in, skip to step 22.
WARNING: Do not loosen or remove the seat
bolts or the operator presence control switch
under the driver's seat.
19. Attach the base tubes to the pivot bolt and nut in each
side of the seat bracket using two 5/16" hex lock nuts.
See fi gure 9.
20. Tighten all bolts and nuts at this time.
CAUTION: Test the operator presence control
switch to make sure it shuts off the engine when
you rise from the seat. The seat must raise and
lower freely to allow the switch to function.
21. Skip to step 28.

22. If the ends of the seat bolts are facing in, proceed to
the next step.
23. Remove and store the original bolt and nut from the left
side of the seat mount bracket. Do not remove the bolt
and nut from the other side of the seat mount bracket.
See fi gure 10.
24. Insert the supplied spacer into the hole in the tractor
seat bracket. See fi gure 10.

25. Attach the left base tube to the seat bracket using
a 5/16" x 1-1/4" bolt and 5/16" hex lock nut. Tighten
the nut. Make sure the seat raises and lowers freely.
Slightly loosen the nut if the seat does not move freely.
See fi gure 11.
26. Repeat steps 23 through 25 for the right base tube.
27. Tighten all bolts and nuts at this time.
