NOTICE: Kit may contain extra parts not used on your pump.
IMPORTANT: Misalignment can occur. Before disassembly,
mark relative position of pump body components by drawing
or scribing a line from the motor flange to the pump base
(see drawing), then match back up when reassembling. This
will ease assembly and ensure proper alignment of water
passages, bolt holes, etc.
1. Disconnect electrical wiring to pressure switch (Key 2).
Refer to wiring diagram located on switch cover when
reconnecting.
2. Remove discharge pipe, then remove pump from well
adapter or piping.
3. Loosen nut on compression fitting (Key 6) and disconnect
pressure tube assembly (Key 3).
4. Remove cover from pressure switch (Key 2) and
disconnect wires from motor (Key 1). Refer to wiring
diagram located on switch cover when reconnecting.
Remove conduit nut holding switch to motor and remove
switch and tube assembly.
NOTICE: After completing Step 4, lay pump on its side for
disassembly.
5. Remove capscrews (Key 17) holding base (Key 16) to
pump adapter (Key 4). Tap base upward with mallet to
loosen, lift off exposing first stage impeller. Remove gasket
(Key 13).
6. Insert screwdriver blade into vane of impeller (Key 11) to
hold stationary and remove impeller nut (Key 15).
NOTICE: It may be additionally necessary to hold motor
shaft stationary using a vise grip placed on shaft through
opening in pump adapter (Key 4).
