4. Add lengths of pipe until ejector reaches correct depth
(ask your well driller for this information). As a guide, set
ejector 10 to 20 feet below lowest water level reached
while pump is running, but always at least five feet
above bottom of well.
5. To properly seat cup leathers, move assembly up and
down slightly after ejector is in position. Water pressure
in casing will seal the leathers.

important: Single pipe installations require galvanized
steel pipe nipples through the casing adapter; plastic at this
point will crush.

7. With ejector set, slide casing adapter over top of well
casing. Tighten adapter bolts alternately to seat casing
adapter and form air-tight seal with well head. For Model
BK4830, also tighten long bolts to seal suction and drive
pipe where they pass through top of adapter.
8. bK4830: Install elbows and nipples or steel-to-plastic
adapters in casing adapter for horizontal pipe run. Use
pipe joint compound (with galvanized steel pipe) on
male threads.
bK4850: Peel backing off of gasket; stick gasket to top
of adapter. Bolt pump to adapter, making sure that faces
match. Align locating lugs on pump and casing adapter
or pump will not operate properly.
