Insert the upper blade 7 in the stroke slide 1 and the
lower blade 8 in the cutting table 9.
Tighten the blades lightly with the attachment screws
13 and 14. For the tightening of the attachment
screws, use a 5 mm Allen key.
Adjusting the Blade Spacing
The blades must not touch each other!
Upper Blade
Bring the stroke slide 1 to the top dead centre by
briefly applying air pressure.
Screw the adjustment screw 12 completely in. For
the adjusting of the adjustment screw, use a 2.5 mm
Allen key.
Slide the upper blade 7 until
the distance between the two
blades is 0.4 mm.
Check the distance h with the
adjustment
gauge.

Tighten the attachment screw 13.
Rotate the adjustment screw 12 against the upper
edge of the blade.
Lower Blade
Slide the lower blade 8 with
the aid of the adjustment screw
15 forward until a distance of a
is set between the two blades.
a
The distance a is a function of the sheet metal thick-
ness to be worked:
Distance a = 0,2 x Sheet metal thickness
2
(at 400 N/mm
).
For soft and ductile materials, decrease the distance;
for brittle materials, increase the distance.
Check the distance with the adjustment and shar-
pening gauge.
Tighten the attachment screw 14.
Sharpening the Blades
Sharp tools result in good cutting performance and
protect the machine.
Therefore, sharpen the cutting edges often with an oil
stone and regrind as required.
When regrinding, take care that the angles are re-
tained. Check with the adjustment and sharpening
gauge (see figure above).
Extraction of the Exhaust Air
Type 0 607 561 112
Slide the exhaust air hose 10 over the air supply
hose 5. Mount the air supply hose 5 onto the hose
connection piece 4
hose 10 to the housing.
Type 0 607 561 101 / 0 607 561 105
After removing the silencer 6, a hose can be connect-
ed to the air outlet that leads away the exhaust air.
Advantages:
Noise reduction
No contamination of the working area by stirred
up dust
Exhaust air led away.
