OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Before turning the pump on, place it in water and
unwind the hose completely. Water level must be
at least 1-1/4 in. before the pump will operate.
CAUTION: To prevent clogging, be sure the
pump is an area that is free from debris. If pump
is turned on before it is submerged, it may take
10 - 30 seconds for water to begin flowing.
CAUTION: Check hose and connections for
leaks and kinks. A straight hose will allow the
pump to move more water faster.
2. If you want the pump to float, remove the filter
screen from the bottom of the pump. The pump
will then float in an upright position. This is ideal
for pumping water with debris at the bottom or
where the water depth is more than the hose
length.
3. Press the power switch on the pump to turn it
on. Hold the pump until water flows from the
hose, and be sure the pump is free from debris.
