PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The height-adjustable drawbar connects the trac-
tor vehicle to the trailer frame. During the adjust-
ment process, it is horizontal at all times. A gas
spring supports the adjustment process.
The gross weight rating is stamped onto every
overrun hitch. The gross weight of the trailer must
not exceed this value.

Designated use
The overrun hitch is a component of the trailer's
brake system, and may be used only, after being
completely installed and tested, for connecting the
trailer to the towing vehicle.
The overrun hitch is approved for use in the follo-
wing weight ranges:

161 VB-2 850 to 1600 kg
162 VB-2
251 VB-2 1425 to 2700 kg
252 VB-2
351 VB-2 2500 to 3500 kg
352 VB2
Possible misuse
CAUTION!
Do not use the eye of the breakaway ca-
ble guide for towing and pulling. If placed
under tensile load, the eye bends, and
the spring package of the parking brake
jumps out of its holder. Risk of accidents
due to failure of the parking brake!
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Adjust the drawbar height only by means of
the handle.
Check the adjustable drawbar before every
journey.
The toothed lock washers must mesh into
each other without any play.
Breakaway cable
CAUTION!
Danger of the trailer becoming unhit-
ched! Always guide the breakaway cable
through the eye of the breakaway cable
guide.
