16/ Connect the safety device to a drain pipe, in open air, in a frost-free area and with a continuous
slope down in order to drain the water in case of drain of the water heater.
17/ The operating pressure should not exceed 0.3 MPa - 3 bar, the temperature should not exceed
100 °C.
18/ Draining: Disconnect the power supply and cold water inlet, open the hot water taps and
operate the drain valve of the safety device.
19/ The products described in this instruction book can change at any time to be in accordance to
the new technology and the standards. These devices comply with the directive 2014/30/UE
according to electromagnetic compatibility, 2014/35/UE according to low voltage, 2011/65/UE
according to ROHS directive and Commission Delegated Regulation 2013/814/UE supplementing
2009/125/EC regulation for ecodesign.
20/ Do not throw to the garbage your device but hand it in a collection place where it
can be recycled.
21/ The instruction book of this product is available by contacting the after-sales service.
INSTALLATION OF A VERTICAL WALL MOUNTED WATER HEATER: (fig. 1) to enable change of the heating element, if required; leave space below the ends of
the pipes of the appliance.
2°) W A T E R C O N N E C T I O N S
All water supply pipes must be thoroughly cleaned before connection. The connection to the hot water outlet must be made using a cast iron or steel sleeve or a
dielectric union in order to avoid corrosion of the tubes (due to direct contact between iron and copper). A brass union must not be used.
Secondary Circuit (fig. 1): A new safety device that complies with the applicable standards (in Europe EN 1487) pressure 0,9 MPa -9 bar and size ½" in diameter
MUST be fitted to the water heater inlet. The safety valve must be protected from frost. No water accessory must be installed between the safety device and the
cold water inlet to the appliance. A pressure reducing valve (not supplied) is recommended when water supply pressure exceeds 0, 5 MPa (5 bar). Connect the safety
device to an unpressurised outlet pipe in a frost free environment, with a continuous slope for the evacuation of the water during heating up or draining the water
heater. Pipes used must be capable of withstanding a temperature of 100 °C and a pressure of 1 MPa -10 bar.
Do not use the safety valve in this packaging in France (Métropole and DOM-TOM...)
Primary circuit (heating): Protect from excessive pressure due to expansion of water during heating with a 0,3 MPa - 3 bar valve or a header tank of the open (to
atmospheric pressure) type or a closed type diaphragm tank. The circuit working pressure must not exceed 0,3 MPa - 3 bar; its temperature must not exceed 100°C.)
