1. Attach an appropriate load and pull out the
cable to the desired position.
2. Loosen the screws on the cable clamp (5),
set the desired cable length, then retighten the
screws.
Adjusting the load
Prior to making load adjustments, attach your
working load to the fully retracted cable.
All zero gravity balancers are factory-preset to
"maximum load".
Adjusting in the "minus" (-) direction reduces the
load (spring tension).
Adjusting in the "plus" (+) direction increases the
load (spring tension).
The correct setting is achieved when the
suspended load can be effortlessly pulled into
the desired position and remains in this position
when set free.
We recommend you to document your settings
in writing in order to ensure that both the
permissible "maximum load" and "minimum
load" limits are always respected when making
readjustments. Regarding these limits, it is
essential to pay attention to the type-specific
preload information provided page 3. Failure to
comply with this requirement can destroy the
spring inside the housing!
Upon pressing the shaft (8) inwards, you'll feel
the spring preload acting on your adjusting tool,
so be sure to hold the tool firmly!
To make load adjustments, a 6-mm Allen wrench
is required.
Press the Allen wrench into the shaft (8), then
rotate wrench to set the load as appropriate
within the approved adjusting range.
X = maximum number of turns permitted in the
"minus" direction, starting from the factory-preset
"maximum load" setting. (=> page 3)

OPERATING MODE

After pulling the suspended tool downward for
use, it remains suspended in the chosen position.
To return it to starting position, push it back
upwards.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

● Please consult us on the "Tool Care"
program that includes production support and
maintenance solutions.
Maintenance should be performed by qualified
personnel only.
05/2017
If damage or corrosion is detected,
withdraw the zero gravity balancer
from service at once, mark it
accordingly and inform your superior
or the responsible person.
Servicing all moving parts and
friction points with non-corrosive
grease significantly increases the life
of the product.
Daily visual inspection for corrosion or damage is
required for:
- Wire cable(s)
- Safety suspension (2)
- Anti-crash safety device (3)
- Load hook (9)
If the safety suspension (2) is a crane hook,
verify that the safety catch closes correctly by
itself after opening it.
● Do not lubricate the balancer with flammable
or volatile fluids.
● Do not remove any labels.
● Replace any damaged labels.
When disposing of components,
lubricants, etc... ensure that the relevant
safety procedures are carried out.
The use of spare parts other than those
originally supplied by the manufacturer
may result in a drop in performance or
in increased maintenance and level of
vibration and in the full cancellation of the
manufacturer's liability.
