25. Never place the appliance near a gas flame, electric hotplate or other source of heat.
External heat can damage the appliance.
26. The cable should not come into contact with the appliance when it is hot.
27. The plug must be easily accessible so that you can pull it out quickly if necessary.
28. Modern furniture is coated with a multitude of varnishes and synthetic materials, and
is treated with a great variety of cleaning products. It cannot be ruled out, therefore,
that some of these materials may have elements that can attack and soften the
rubber feet of the appliance. If necessary, place a cloth or other item under the
appliance to protect the feet.
No liability can be assumed for damages resulting from misuse or incorrect use
of this product.

5. Prior to initial use

Ensure that all the packaging has been removed from the appliance (protective foil,
etc.).
Do not remove the rating plate or any warnings.
Check the equipment to ensure that all parts are included in the delivery (see

PLEASE NOTE: Check that the appliance is not damaged in any way. If any
components are damaged, the appliance should not be used. Contact qualified
service personnel.
• Place the utensil on a flat, heat-resistant, stable surface.
• Never place the utensil near to a source of heat or steam, or to flammable materials.
• Prior to initial use, preheat the appliance for about ten minutes, in order to remove
residues from the production. Some initial smoke may occur, but this is normal while
using for the first time.
• Set back the thermostat control to "Min", unplug the appliance and let it cool down
thoroughly.
• Then wipe off with a damp soft cloth.

6. Use

Place the device on a flat, dry and heat resistant surface.
Make sure that the drip tray is placed under the oil outlet of the sloping grilling
surface.
Moist the grill plates with vegetable oil before each use.
Plug in, the red signal lamp switches on and indicates that the appliance is operating.
Adjustments from "Min" to "Max" can be chosen, corresponding to temperatures from
Ø 160°C ("Min") / Ø 190°C Medium to Ø 240°C ("Max").
Adjust the thermostat to "Min" or medium setting when using as a sandwich-press or
adjust to "Max" when using as a contact grill.
The green signal lamp turns on, as soon as the chosen setting has been reached. The
ingredients can be placed on the grill.
NOTE: In order to speed up preheating, keep the plates of the appliance closed.
Always preheat the appliance with closed plates to enable fast heat up and even
temperature distribution on the plates.
