Application
The Steel communication terminal
functional unit SK 600-0 is fitted
with a 26.5 cm touchpanel in
portrait format. The basic system
comprises a platform-independent
operating system on a modern pro-
cessor module. It can be used in the
In-Home bus or Access system.
Electrical voltage
Mounting, installation and servicing
work on electrical devices may only
be performed by a suitably qualified
electrician.
When mounting, consider the
lighting conditions, as these can
affect the legibility of the panel.
• Direct backlight
• Direct sunlight
• Reflective surfaces
• Direct light sources such as spot-
lights
Note
• Avoid direct sunlight.
• Adhere to the admissible tempera-
ture range.
Installation
All installed functional units are
completely pre-assembled in the
Steel system. All that is necessary is
connection to the installation.
Address setting
If more than one door station with
an SK 600-... or DRM 612-... are
installed in one line in an In-Home
bus system, each of this devices
must be given its own address. The
rotary switch is located behind the
inspection shaft cover, which is
marked by a green dot. Once the
operator level has been lifted off,
all covers can be accessed from the
front. The address can be set from 1
to 8 and may only be used once in
any one system.

2 Access wiring diagram
a) A network cable must be laid
without fail from the door to the
distributor for programming.
c) If door releases or gate control
systems are fitted and their con-
nected values do not correspond to
12 V AC/DC and min. 20 Ohm, then
either switching output 2 (ATLC ter-
minals 13/14 (output)) or switching
output 3 (ANG terminals 11/12/14
(output)) can be used as a potential-
free door release contact.
To use switching output 2 or 3 as a
potential-free door release contact,
you must configure the corre-
sponding ATLC switching output in
the Access administration interface.

Measurement points
The measurement points of the
functional units which are located
parallel to the terminals are acces-
sible when mounted. For measure-
ments, the test shaft cover must be
removed. After measuring, replace
the test shaft cover.
Exchanging the functional unit
The functional unit can be com-
pletely exchanged if required.
Modules may only be exchanged by
specialist personnel when the equip-
ment is not live, i.e. when discon-
nected from the mains.
• Release the operating panel using
the enclosed mounting key and take
it off.
• If the functional unit cannot be
accessed from the back, the support
system will have to be removed.
• Unscrew the functional unit from
the back of the support plate and
pull out the connecting plug.
• Exchange the functional unit and
restore the plug connections.
• Carry out a function check
• Place the operating panel on the
mounting panel and lock using the
mounting key.
