Charge the battery before the first time
of use. Do not briefly charge the bat-
tery several time in a row.
If a fully recharged battery lasts for con-
siderably shorter operating times, the
battery is used up and needs to be re-
placed. Only use an OEM spare battery
available from our Customer Service.
Always take heed of the applicable safety
instructions as well as the environmental
protection regulations and information.
The warranty excludes all defects
caused by improper handling.

Insert/remove battery

1. To insert the battery (16) into the
device, push the battery along
the guide rail into the device. It
locks into place audibly.
2. To remove the battery (16) from
the device, press the release
button (19) on the battery and
pull the battery out.
Check the state of charge of
the battery
The state of charge display (18) signalises
the state of charge of the battery (16).
1. Press the button (17) on the bat-
tery (16).
The state of charge of the bat-
tery is displayed by illuminating
the appropriate LED lights of the
state of charge display (18).
2. Charge the battery if the last LED
light of state of charge display
(18) changes from green to red.

Charge battery

Allow a freshly charged battery
(16) to cool down for approx. 15
60
minutes before inserting it into the
battery charger (29).
LED lights:
The control display (30) of the battery
charger (29)
- lights up red at the start and during
the charging process.
- lights up green when charging pro-
cess is complete or if the battery
cannot be charged.
The LED lights of the state of charge
display (
30) of the battery (16)
flashes red if you have inserted a hot
battery into the battery charger (29).
1. Remove the battery (16) from
the appliance, as necessary.
2. Insert the battery (16) in the
charging compartment of the
battery charger (29). It will audi-
bly snap in.
3. Plug the battery charger (29)
into a mains outlet.
4. When the battery is fully re-
charged unplug the battery
charger (29) from the mains.
5. Press the release button (19) on
the battery (16) and pull the battery
out of the battery charger (29).

Used batteries

If a fully recharged battery lasts for
considerably shorter operating times,
the battery is used up and needs to be
replaced. Only use an OEM battery
pack replacement available from our
Customer Service.
