Blower/vacuum
INTRODUCTION
• This tool has been designed for blowing and vacuuming
materials that are not hazardous to one's health
• This tool is not suitable for blowing and vacuuming
flammable materials, metal chips and sharp objects
(such as screws or nails)
• This tool is not intended for leaf blowing and outdoor use
• This tool is not intended for professional use
• Read this instruction manual carefully before use
and save it for future reference 3

SAFETY
GENERAL
• Only use the tool in daylight or with appropriate artificial
lighting
• Provide for good ventilation at the working place
• Never operate the tool in the direct vicinity of persons
(especially children) and animals
• The user is responsible for accidents or hazards
occurring to other people or their property
• Always disconnect plug from power source
- whenever leaving the tool unattended
- before clearing jammed material
- before checking, cleaning or working on the tool
- whenever the tool starts vibrating abnormally
• Store the tool indoors in a dry and locked-up place, out
of reach of children
PERSONAL SAFETY
• This tool is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the tool by a person responsible for
their safety
• Ensure that children do not play with the tool
• Never allow children or people who are not familiar with
the operating instructions to use the tool (local
regulations can restrict the age of the operator)
• Never blow debris in the direction of bystanders
• Do not blow and vacuum materials that are
hazardous to one's health (such as dust from beech or
oak wood, masonry dust, asbestos)

• Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that can be drawn
into the air inlet; keep long hair away from the air inlet
• The noise level when working can exceed 85 dB(A); wear
ear protection
• Wear a dust mask when working in a dusty environment
• Always disconnect plug from power source during work
breaks or before cleaning, maintenance, making
adjustments and changing accessories, in order to
reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• Always check that the supply voltage is the same as the
voltage indicated on the nameplate of the tool
• When operating the tool use a residual current device
(RCD) with a triggering current of 30 mA maximum
• Do not blow and vacuum liquids (the penetration of
liquids increases the risk of an electric shock)
• Keep the tool away from rain or moisture (the
penetration of water into the motor increases the risk of
an electric shock)
• Use completely unrolled and safe extension cords with a
capacity of 16 Amps (U.K. 13 Amps)
• Only use an extension cord which is equipped with a
watertight plug and coupling-socket
• Inspect the extension cord periodically and replace it, if
damaged (inadequate extension cords can be
dangerous)
• Always switch off tool and disconnect plug from power
source if the power supply cord or the extension cord is
cut, damaged or entangled (do not touch the cord
before disconnecting the plug)
• Do not drive over, crush or stretch the cord
• Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the
tool
• Never use the tool when cord is damaged; have it
replaced by a qualified person
BEFORE USE
• Be familiar with the controls and the proper use of the tool
• Check the functioning of the tool before each use and, in
case of a defect, have it repaired immediately by a
qualified person; never open the tool yourself
• When vacuuming, never use the tool without the dustbag
in place
• Regularly check the dustbag for wear or damage
• Replace worn of damaged parts
DURING USE
• Always keep the cord away from moving parts of the tool;
direct the cord to the rear, away from the tool
• Always ensure that the ventilation openings are kept clear
of debris
• Take a secure stance when working (do not overreach,
especially when using steps or a ladder)

WHEN CONNECTING NEW 3-PIN PLUG (U.K. ONLY):
• Do not connect the blue (= neutral) or brown (= live) wire
in the cord of this tool to the earth terminal of the plug
• If for any reason the old plug is cut off the cord of this tool,
it must be disposed of safely and not left unattended
