Recommendations for installation
Please observe the following guidelines:
• For your own safety and protection, do
not use the telephone in locations with
extreme heat or humidity. The telephone
is designed to operate at temperatures
between +5ºC and +55ºC and is not
water-proof.
• Some parts of the telephone, such as the
rubber
feet,
varnished furniture.
• Place the telephone at least one meter
away from devices such as cordless
phones or TV sets. These devices may
cause interference with the telephone.

• Use a damp or antistatic cloth to clean
the telephone. Never use a dry cloth
(danger of electrostatic discharge) or
abrasive cleaning agents.
• When the telephone reaches the end of
its service life, dispose of it in an

Setting the dialing mode (tone/pulse)
Your telephone must be programmed for
TONE dialing or PULSE dialing, depending
on the telephone line it is connected to. The
default factory setting is TONE dialing with
the T2 flash time option.
Checking the dialing mode:
Press any numeric key. If you can still hear
a dialing tone, change to the other dialing
mode.
Changing the dialing mode:
The switch located on the bottom of the
telephone allows you to chose between
three settings:

Temporary change of dialing mode:
While the telephone is set to PULSE dialing
it may be necessary to temporarily change
the dialing mode to TONE dialing.
• Example: You want to check your
banking balance using a telebanking

service. Make the call in the usual way,
and once the connection has been
