Declaration of CE conformity: Nice s.p.a declares under its sole responsibility that the products described in this manual comply with the requirements set out by
the Directives LVD 2014/35/EU - EMC 2014/30/EU. The complete declaration is available in our site
www.silentron.it/dichiarazioni-ce/
Electronic alarm systems: IMQ Security Systems Certification body - Standard EN 50130-5; EN 50131-1; EN 50131-5-6; EN 50131-2-2; EN 50069-1; EN 60529;
Certified Safety Level: 2; Environmental class II.
Warnings and precaution: These devices can be used only in conjunction with our alarm system and in compliance with the instructions supplied in this manual.
Devices can be played indoor or outdoor properly sheltered from the elements and according to operating temperature limits. This device must be installed and
commissioned by qualified technical staff according to current regulations. Any other use is considered improper and forbidden! The manufacturer is not liable for
damages resulting from the improper use of the product other than those provided herein.
Operation: the device is a "concentrator " of alarms triggered by any kind of intrusion detector. It supplies the following inputs/functions:
a) 2 NC/PULSE inputs. Select NC (see Figure) to control one or more Normally Closed magnetic contacts connected in series (500msec alarm delay upon contact
opening). Select PULSE to have each input control a NC/NO transition phase pulse count roller shutters hardwired detector. Alarm is triggered after 6 transition
phases. These inputs may not be used for EN 50131-3 standard compliance since same are not balanced inputs.
b ) 4 inputs for active detectors that control alarm and tamper functions over a balanced line. Connect the special resistors as described. Lockout signal (TC) is optional
and positive when system is disarmed.
c) The six types of alarm are individually managed by the control panel according to their configuration.
Installation instructions:
The unit is supplied in a casing to be flush-mounted in housing part no. 503. Its front cover is suitable for an AVE plaque (accessory part no. 88329) or other types of
plaques that have been suitably adapted by breaking their edges.
50131-3 Standard: protection against opening and forced removal is achieved by ensuring that the tamper spring contact remains pressed against the bottom of the
flush mount housing. The device can also be surface mounted using accessory housing part no. 88328. Insert a screw into the wall whose head protrudes and presses
against the tamper spring (rear tamper switch protection).
Caution! If the device will not comply with EN 50131-1 and 3 standards if it is not installed with the above tamper protection.
a) Remove the unit's rear cover to open the device.
b ) Set dip -switches according to application. Exclude tamper (not compliant with standard 50131-3) and insert end of line resistor if required.
c) Temporarily connect the device to Touch-screen part no. 4020. Follow the audio and visual instructions on the display to address the device from the control panel,
then disconnect it from the Touch-screen You may clearly use all or only some of the available inputs.
d ) Lay cables and mount unit as required.
e) Ensure that bus line is not powered and connected it to the concentrator following the supplied drawings. The unit is supplied with input and output terminals
and to allow Bus cable to be cut and connected at both ends for installation ease.
f ) Connect the 2 to 4 wire detector cables according to the kind of detector being used. Non- insulated conductor sections must be fully contained within the
terminals to prevent short circuits.
g) Power the device once all Bus line connections have been completed.
h) Close rear cover and fasten the unit.
Programming, commissioning and operating instructions: see manual of the employed Sil-Bus control panel.
Technical Specifications: see drawings.
LED indicators. BUS control LED diode:
flashing = successful bus polling
off = bus faults: check END R and insert or remove it as required.
Protection Class: IP protection is stated by manufacturer and it is not certified. Declared protection is achieved when the device is flush mounted in 503 housing or
surface mounted (88328 housing - 88329 cover).
