Info
Ω
mega shower enclosures are equipped with an integrated
shower tray unit, which is in direct contact with the floor and the
drainage column inserted in the floor.
Installation must take place in a corner on finished
and tiled walls, but without skirting and/or projecting
parts.
IMPORTANT: check that the goods are intact on ar-
rival, so that any claim made to the forwarding agent
will be prompt.
Provision for drainage
and water supply connections
We recommend that you position the shower enclosure drain as
shown, in position 1 or 1a.
To connect to the hot-cold water supply system (position 5),
it is advisable to use 90° curves - 1/2".
Please use the measurements given.
We also recommend that you do not use connections on sup-
ply pipes, in order to avoid leaks and consequential reduction in
water jet power.
For correct water jet operation, the pressures and capacities
of the water supply system to the shower enclosure must be en-
sured, as shown in the "Plumbing Requirements" table.
Provision for electrical connection
Connection must be made, with a normalized cable, to the electri-
cal mains and to the earth system, arranged as shown in pos. 2.
The device can be powered with a double phase line, pro-
viding that the voltage between phases is 220-240V.
If you wish to connect the shower enclosure to an alarm cir-
cuit, a bipolar cable must be used (position 2).
In any case, see the "Electrical Safety" chapter to choose the
cables and installation procedures.

Electrical safety

Ω
The
mega Jacuzzi
®
shower boxes are safe appliances, man-
ufactured in compliance with standards EN 60335-1, EN 60335-
2-105, EN 61000, EN 55014-1, EN 55014-2. They are tested
during production to guarantee user safety. Installation must be
carried out by qualified and authorized personnel, in compliance
with the national provisions in force.
It is the responsibility of the installer to choose the
materials with regard to their use, to carry out the
work correctly, to check the condition of the system
to which the appliance is to be connected and its
suitability in order to guarantee user safety.
Ω
mega shower enclosures are Class "1" appliances, and must
be anchored securely and connected permanently, without any
intermediate joints, to the electric network and earth system.
The electric network and earth system of the build-
ing must be in working order and must comply with
the provisions of the law and specific regulations in
force in that country.
An appropriate device must be provided, which
form part of the fixed system, and installed in com-
pliance with current legislation in force, with the pur-
pose of disconnecting the appliance from the mains.
For connection to the electric mains, you will need to install an iso-
lating multi-pole switches, which will ensure complete disconnection
in the instance of a category III over voltage; these devices must be
connected to an area that complies with the safety regulations gov-
erning bathroom safety.
The switch and other electrical devices must be lo-
cated, in accordance with regulations, in an area that
cannot be reached by the person using the appliance.
If the building's electrical system is not able to gua-
rantee a stabile power supply, it is recommended to
install a voltage stabiliser that suitably dimensio-
ned for the required power upstream of the equip-
ment.
The installation of electrical devices and appliances (sockets,
switches, etc.) in bathrooms must comply with the legal re-
quirements and standards of the country concerned. In particu-
lar, no electrical installation is permitted within 60 cm of the
shower enclosure or at a height of less than 225 cm.

Connection to the electrical system of the building must be made us-
ing a sheathed cable that is not less than H 05 VV-F 3x2,5 mm
The electric system of the building must be e-
quipped with a 0.03 A differential switch.
Ω
mega shower boxes are equipped with a connection terminal, lo-
cated in the central part of the frame, marked with the symbol
for equipotential connection of surrounding metal parts, as requi-
red by EN 60335-2-105 norms; we recommend that the relevant
connection cable comes out in position 2.
The appliance comes equipped with an LED lighting system, in com-
pliance with Regulation EN 62471:2009.
