With the help of the user instruction of the product and the inspection sheet, and without any specific tool or a particular measuring device. Observe
and touch each component of the product in order to detect possible anomalies. If one or more checkpoints are defective, the product must be
withdrawn from service and replaced by a compliant device. The use of this document for periodic inspection is reserved for competent persons.
Inspect the visual aspect of the product; the device must be verifiable.
Spreader bar:

Check the general condition of the spreader bar (FA 70 007 01); no deformation, wear, or oxidation
must be tolerated. Check the condition of the attachment holes in particular.
Connectors:

Check the connectors following the directions on the connector verification sheet.
Straps:

Visually check the condition of the straps; they must not show any signs of cuts, wear, deformation,
burns and/or unusual shrinkage. The straps must not be stiff or discoloured. Make sure all end pieces
are present and secure.
Seams:

Check the condition of the seams; no signs of cuts, wear, deformation or burns. They must not be
invisible or discoloured.
Back support:

Check the complete condition of the back support; it must be free of deformation, tears and cuts.
Check that the straps are securely attached to the back support.
Buckles:

Check the condition of the metal buckles; they must not be deformed, worn, broken or oxidised. Check
their operation and adjustment by handling them.
Holding loops:

Check for the presence of the holding loops, their presence is mandatory and their condition must not
hinder the use of the pilot chair.
Seat:

Check the condition of the straps; no signs of wear, cuts, burns or deformation must be tolerated.

Marking:

Check the markings; they must be present and legible.
State of wear:
Evaluate the state of wear, keeping the above inspections in mind, as well as the product's general
appearance.
