Before the first use
Before using your appliance for the first time, wipe off all removable parts with a damp cloth.
Never use abrasive products.
Place the hot plate properly on the stand.
Place the appliance on a stable, dry surface, and away from heat sources.
Make sure your mains voltage matches the stated voltage of the appliance. Make sure that
the power switch of the appliance is off when you plug it into an earthed power socket.
Press the power switch to turn on the appliance (the light will burn).
Let the appliance heat up for 15 minutes till half an hour.
Wait for the hot plate to heat up before putting food on it.
Use the mini-grill
Do not use anything metal, to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.
When you have put your food to cook, watch it and turn it from time to time.
Small pieces of meat and/or fish cook quicker than big pieces.
Do not pierce the meat; this makes it lose some of its juices and some of its flavour.
During cooking, any bits of food left behind should be removed immediately in case they
stick to the hot plate.
Never put frozen food on the hotplate: the heat shock could damage the plate.
Place the pans, with food inside, on the reflective surface , under the hotplate. Never put an
empty pan under the hotplate.
The pans can also be used to cook meat, provided it is cut thin.
Never put the pan on top of the hotplate during using. Never move the hotplate with hands
when still hot: you could get burned
Cleaning
Before cleaning the appliance in any way, make sure it is no longer hot!
Switch it off and unplug it. Then let the parts cool for at least one hour before cleaning them.
Clean the appliance after use each time to avoid a build-up of food residues.
Clean the heating element and metal parts with a damp cloth and dry carefully. Never immerse the
appliance in water.
Never pour cold water onto the hot plate: you run the risk of being spattered with scalding water.
Wipe scraps of food off the hotplate with a kitchen wipe, then rub it with a damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive pads or products .
To clean the stand and the reflective surface: rub with a kitchen wipe and then with a damp cloth. Let
the appliance dry thoroughly.
Clean the pans in water and washing-up liquid. Rinse well and allow to dry.
