If there are two bottles/bags: hang the hooks
from the lateral attachment points (Figure 1,
#F-b).
8) Hang the bottle(s)/bag(s) off the bracket
(Figure 1, #F).
9) Position the fixing clips of the irrigation line
(provided with the unit) on the handpiece
cord (Figure 5) and push gently.
d) Switching on
1) Check that the power supply switch (Figure 3,
#6) is Off (O).
2) Plug the mains cord into the power supply.
3) Switch the power supply switch (Figure 3, #6)
On (I).
V - USE
5. 1 USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Accessories and the unit must always be sterilized
before the device is used for the first time (see
Section 6.1).
5. 2 BOOTING
Every time it is switched on, the device
automatically boots up, a process which lasts a
few seconds. The device should not be used until
this process is complete. Booting up involves a
series of different steps, as described below:
a) Step 1: Testing
This step checks that the LCD display is working
properly. The user should check that it proceeds
correctly:
1) The 6 indicator lights on the control screen
(Figure 7, #2, #3 and #4) and the 2 active
connection indicator lights on the keyboard
(Figure 8, #1 and #2) will light up.
2) The LCD display on the control screen (Figure
7, #1) will show ".8.8" (the points and
segments should always be lit up).
3) The background of the LCD display (Figure 7,
#1) goes from green to yellow to blue to
orange to white. Check that all the colors
appear in the right order.
4) The 6 control screen indicator lights (Figure 7,
#2, #3 and #4) and the 2 keyboard active
connection indicator lights (Figure 8, #1 and
#2) will go out.
b) Step 2: Default active connection
The device contains a single ultrasound generator
with two outlets (Left and Right) (Figure 2, #3 and
#4).
Only one of these can be used at a time. The
connection being used is referred to as the "active
connection".
1) The device detects the type of cord present
at each connector (Left and Right).
2) It automatically decides which connection
will be active on the following basis:
- a P
connection takes priority over a
IEZOTOME
N
connection.
EWTRON
- the right connection takes priority over the
left connection.
3) The light corresponding to the active
connection lights up (Figure 8, #1 or #2).
NB: In the course of use, the operator can of
course switch from one connection to the other
(see Section 5.3).
c) Step 3: Switching to P
N
function
EWTRON
The device identifies the type of connection
which is active (P
14
IEZOTOME
or N
).
