OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The Skil model 2356 Cordless Screwdriver has a
magnetic bit holder that accepts 1/4" hex bits (1"
overall length). The low RPM capability of this
model is not a deficiency. On the contrary, low
speed means high torque and high torque is a
definite plus for efficient driving. The low speed
also provides more control to prevent stripout of
the screw and damage to the work surface.
SLIDING SWITCH
The Sliding Switch (Fig. 1) has two positions,
forward and rear. Note: the position of the Sliding
Switch also affects Trigger function (see below).
Forward position: Slides bit into place for screw
driving applications. When in forward position,
depressing the trigger will TURN THE TOOL
"ON" for screw driving applications.
Rear position: Allows rotation of bit magazine for
bit selection and illuminates bit window for better
visibility. When in rear position, depressing the
trigger will also illuminate the bit window.
TRIGGER "ON-OFF" SWITCH
TO TURN THE TOOL "ON" push Sliding Switch
to forward position and squeeze the trigger
switch. TO TURN THE TOOL "OFF", release the
trigger switch, which is spring loaded and will
return to the "OFF" position automatically (Fig.1).
TO ILLUMINATE BIT WINDOW, with the Sliding
Switch in the rear position, squeeze the trigger.
