Read the instructions carefully before using the appliance and
keep them for future reference.
This appliance is intended exclusively for domestic use, and
must not be used in hospitals or healthcare facilities.
Individuals with medical implants (cardiac electro-stimulators,
etc.) should not use this device. If you have any doubts, ask
your doctor for information.
Pregnant women should not use this device.
If the device is faulty or malfunctioning, do not attempt to disman-
tle it yourself, but contact an authorised Polti service centre.
If the appliance is dropped, have it inspected at an authorised
service centre.
The appliance has no parts requiring maintenance other than
the battery.
Wipe with a damp cloth after use. Do not use chemical pro-
ducts or submerge it in water.
Do not subject the appliance to excessive vibration or blows.
Do not drop it onto the floor.
Do not leave the appliance where it will be exposed to the
weather.
Do not leave the appliance near a heat source.
The appliance can measure using the metric system (kg/m)
or the Imperial system (lb/in). Select the preferred scale using
the sliding switch on the bottom of the appliance.
Always take used batteries to collection containers.

Place a 9V alkaline battery (6LR61 or equivalent, not included)
in the battery compartment (A), noting the + and – marks on
the appliance and making sure it stays in the correct position.
Select the desired unit of measurement (kilograms or pounds)
using the sliding switch on the bottom of the appliance.
Place the scale on a flat, stable surface to ensure accurate
weighing.
