PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
BATTERY CHARGING
Hedge and grass trimmer is supplied with partially charged battery.
Charge the battery in ambient temperature between 4°C and 40°C.
Battery that has not been used for a long time will reach full efficiency
after approximately 3–5 charge/discharge cycles.
• Insert the charger cord plug into the socket for charger (6) located in
the trimmer casing (fig. B).
• Connect the charger to mains socket 230 VAC.
• At the start of charging empty battery, red diode lights up on the LED
indicator (3) (fig. A).
• In the charging progress, subsequent yellow and green diode will
light up.
• Charging is completed, when LED indicator (3) shows all three diodes
on, with bright light from the green diode.
LED indicator (3) with charger connected to the tool and plugged to
mains network shows charging progress.
• Red diode – connected to voltage, charging in progress, low battery
level.
• Red and yellow diode – connected to voltage, charging in progress,
battery partially charged.
• Red, yellow and green diode – connected to voltage, charging in
progress, battery level high.
• Red and yellow diode with bright green diode – connected to voltage,
ready to finish charging, battery is fully charged.
LED indicator (3) diodes stay on until charger is disconnected from
mains socket. After battery discharge a minimum 4 – 5 hour of recharge
is required to reach full battery level. Normal use allows for multiple
charge cycles of the trimmer battery. To maintain trimmer in good
condition recharge its battery at least once per six months.
Do not charge the battery for more than 8 hours. Exceeding this
time limit may cause damage to battery cells.
Batteries heat up very strongly during charging process. Do not
work just after charging has been finished, wait until the battery
cools down to room temperature. It will prevent battery damage.
BATTERY LEVEL SIGNALISATION
LED indicator (3) (fig. A) activates automatically during tool operation.
Switch on the tool to check battery level. Diodes signal battery level.
• Red, yellow and green – high battery level.
• Red and yellow – battery partially charged.
• Red – low battery level, recharge required.
INSTALLATION OF WORK TOOLS
• Press the locking button for blade cover (8) (fig. C).
• Move the blade cover (7) towards tool handle (fig. C).
• Remove the blade cover (7).
• Install blade. Make sure to align notches in blade with locating pins
(9) in the tool (fig. D).
• In case of problems when blade does not snap into place, manually
adjust location of the tool drive wheel (10) (fig. E) and install the blade.

• Put on the blade cover (7), make sure to align cover protrusions with
markings on the trimmer casing.
• Move the blade cover (7) forward, locking button for blade cover (8)
should snap in place.
Blade removal is similar.
For better safety it is recommended to store the trimmer with its
blade removed, and store blade with cover on.
Blade is a cutting tool and in case of contact with skin they may
cause user's body injury. Do not touch working part of the blade.
Use protective gloves for better safety.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
Check the blades before using the trimmer. Do not use blades with
dents, cracks or other damages.
Be careful when working with grass blade (4) (fig. A). Working grass
blade can cause body injury in case of contact.
Never overload the trimmer. Follow instructions regarding
maximum cutting thickness as specified in technical parameters
table.
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
When switching on and when working hold the trimmer firmly with
one or two hands. When holding the trimmer with one hand, keep
the other one away from blades. The trimmer is equipped with the
switch, which protects against accidental starting.
• Press the switch lock button (1) (fig. A).
• Press the switch (2) (fig. A).
• Release pressure on the switch (2) to stop the trimmer.
Wait a while after starting the tool until blade reaches its top speed,
only then you can proceed with your work. When working, do not
use the switch of the trimmer to switch it on or off. Trimmer switch
button may only be used when the power tool is away from cut
material. Be careful after switching the tool off, as the cutting blade
may work for some time.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Before starting any activities related to installation, adjustment,
repair or maintenance, disconnect charger from the tool and from
mains network.
• Cleaning the device after each use is recommended.
• Do not use water or other liquids for cleaning the trimmer, as they can
damage plastic parts.
• Clean the tool with dry cloth.
• Clean trimmer ventilation holes regularly to prevent motor
overheating.
• Use a brush to clean working part of the blades.
• Blades allow for cleaning and maintenance with penetrating and
lubricating agents.
• Always store the tool in a dry place, beyond reach of children.
All defects should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the
manufacturer.
