4.2 Let the water run for a couple of minutes until the filter and out-put tubes are totally filled.
At this point SPACE ADV is ready to work. Now you may plug it in.
5 - MAINTENANCE
The filter must be unplugged before any maintenance is done.
During maintenance, the SPACE ADV tap group allows to disconnect the tubes (filled with water) from the filter
and keep them connected to the aquarium, without causing any water loss. This system avoids repeating the
start-up after maintenance is performed.
For correct maintenance, do as follows:
5.1 Pull the tap group handle (see fig. 8), that is completely removed from its place, which automatically closes
where the water enters and exits. In this manner the tubes are left hanging with the tap group without any water
loss (see fig. 9), allowing to move the filter group for cleaning.
5.2 Release the cover as indicated in the Assembly section, remove the basket with the filter material that must
be rinsed or substituted.
Note that when substituting the material (e.g. biorings), it is suggested to replace only 2/3 of the existing material
with the new material, leaving the old material in place to help a rapid regeneration of the bacterial flora.
5.3 Wash the filter container (absolutely do not use any type of detergent, because this will pollute the aquarium
water).
One can use a small brush to remove the calcium deposits.
5.4 To clean the pump, take off the prechamber, pressing the 2 lateral tabs (see fig. 10), then remove the rotary
blades.
Carefully clean the volute, the prechamber O-ring, the rotory, the blades and its seat using a small soft brush
and abundant water.
After cleaning, put the rotary back in place and check that it turns freely around the metal shaft and then place
the prechamber.
5.5 Put the filter cover back after checking that the O-ring is exactly in place, close the 4 clamps, and then connect
the tap group.
When inserting the handle of the tap group the water flow fills the filter automatically.
SPACE ADV is now ready for use: plug it in and make sure that all is functioning correctly.
ATTENTION – In case water enters inside the cover, remove the 4 screws (see fig. 11),
Dry the internal surfaces and screw the cover back on.
6 – CLOG CHECK SYSTEM
The mechanical indicator of the filter blocking level is useful for maintenance operations.
For installation, connect the free extremities to the flexible tube coming from "IN", as seen in fig. 12.
With the clean filter functioning (if used for the first time or after maintenance) the water level within the tube
with a greater diameter of the Clog Check System, is lower a few centimetres in regards to the aquarium water
level.
As the filter becomes dirtier, the water level within the tube with the greater diameter tends to reach the aquarium
water level.
When the difference between the external and internal level is about 1-1,5 cm, maintenance should be done
on the filter.
7 - ACCESSORIES
7.1 - Spraybar
This is used to increase the oxygenation of the aquarium by moving the water surface.
For installation, connect the "S" curve tube with the Spraybar through a flexible tube which may be cut to the
desired length. Place the Spraybar in the aquarium with the suction cups and connect the "S" curve tube with
the "OUT" (see fig.13). The face Spraybar can be positioned below or above the water surface, therefore
creating the desired movement.
8 – WARRANTY
SICCE grants a 2 year warranty for ESPACE ADV from purchase date, for defective material and workmanship.
The Warranty Certificate must be completely filled out by the salesperson, and must be accompanied by the
faulty part in case of repairs as well as the sales receipt or equivalent. The Warranty consists in the substitution
