Problem
The pump will not run
The motor and piston run, but
there is little or no fluid flow.
The motor does not turn off.
There is paint leakage.

Product Registration Card

Send in your product registration card or register online at www.wagnerspraytech.com. Proper registration will serve as proof of
purchase in the event your original receipt becomes misplaced or lost. Returning this card will expedite the processing of your
warranty. Be sure you write your unit's date code on the card before sending it. The date code is located below the specification label
underneath the base of your unit (for example, S087R). The additional information will also help us to develop new products that best
meet your needs and desires.

Troubleshooting

Cause
1. The batteries are weak.
2. The batteries are not installed properly.
3. The ends of the batteries are tarnished.
4. The air hose is not connected securely.
5. The pump has seized up.
1. The batteries are weak.
2. The fluid hose is leaking.
3. The inlet or outlet valves are plugged.
4. Suction tube not immersed into paint.
5. Paint residue in the pump.
6. The hose fittings on the pump are loose.
1. The handle button is activated.
2. There is a kink in the air hose.
3. There is an air switch malfunction.
1. The seal on the roller arm is backwards or
missing.
2. The seal and cap were not properly cleaned.
3. The O-rings on the arm and handle, or the
connecting area were not cleaned properly.
4. Paint residue on connecting areas.
5. The roller arm O-rings are damaged or
missing.
6. The roller cover is worn or damaged.
7. The roller core or cap is worn or damaged.
8. The bearing areas on the roller arm are worn.
9. The paint hose is damaged.
Solution
1. Put in new high-quality alkaline batteries.
2. Install batteries correctly.
3. Wipe off the ends of the batteries.
4. Connect the air hose.
5. Clean the piston and pump housing.
1. Put in new high-quality alkaline batteries.
2. Tighten the fluid hose securely.
3. Clean / replace the inlet or outlet valves.
4. Immerse tube fully into paint.
5. Disassemble and clean the pump. See page
26 for pump diagram.
6. Tighten the fittings.
1. Press and release handle button.
2. Unkink the air hose.
3. Remove batteries, then call Technical Service.
1. Turn the seal around or replace the seal.
2. Clean and properly lubricate.
3. Clean and properly lubricate.
4. Clean connecting areas (see Maintenance).
5. Replace the O-rings*
6. Replace the roller cover*.
7. Replace the roller core or cap*.
8. Call Technical Service.
