USING THE PANINI
MAKER
NOTE: Before using make sure drip tray is in-
serted into unit
1. Plug the Panini maker into electrical outlet.
The red LED (Power) indicator should light up.
The green indicator light will be dark .
2. For best results always pre-heat the grill for
three to four minutes before use and allow it to
heat up while closed, with no food inside.
3. When pre-heating is finished, the green LED
indicator will light. This light will cycle on and
off to maintain consistent cooking temperature.
4. Open the grill and place a slice of bread with
the buttered side DOWN on the bottom cooking
surface. Assemble the rest of the sandwich on
top. Place the top slice of bread on top with but-
tered side UP and close the grill using the han-
dle. Do not force the Panini maker closed. In-
stead use the handle to exert pressure on the
sandwich.
5. Be careful of steam coming from between the
cooking plates. Cooking usually lasts between
2-3 minutes, depending on your taste and/or
thickness of the sandwich.
Note: During cooking, the green ready light will
cycle on and off. This is normal and helps
maintain proper cooking temperature.
6. When your sandwich is ready, using the han-
dle, carefully lift and open the Panini maker.
Using a wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatula
or similar utensil, remove sandwich onto a
plate. DO NOT touch the cooking surface. It is
very HOT. DO NOT use any metal utensils a
they may scratch the non-stick coating on the
cooking surface.
7. If you wish to grill more sandwiches, then
leave the Panini maker in the closed position to
maintain cooking heat.
8. When finished, remove the plug from outlet
and allow Panini maker to cool.
