Optivest
Optivest is a plaster-free, phosphate bound special investment compound for the production of duplicate
models and casting moulds for the CoCr model casting technique. Optivest is particularly suitable when
used in combination with silicone duplicating materials (Deguform). The fine-grained Optivest powder
produces extremely smooth surfaces and thus facilitates finishing considerably. The matched relationship
between expansion and strength results in restorations with high precision of fit. Optivest is mixed with a
special mixing liquid with properties that match the properties of Optivest powder perfectly.

2 Important information
Prior to use observe the safety instructions provided under 6 and 6.1 Optivest must be stored at a dry
and cool place. If stored properly, the storage capacity of the investment compound including the liquid
amounts to 18 months. Optivest mixing liquid must be stored at a room temperature between 5 °C and
max. 30 °C.
3 Expansion control
The total expansion, i.e. the sum of the setting expansion and the thermal expansion can be changed by
diluting the mixing liquid with distilled water.
