Safety information
Mixing with other liquids or materials during processing health hazards as well as impairments to the
casting quality cannot be excluded.
• This product contains quartz and cristobalite, some in the form of fine dust that may penetrate
the pulmonary alveoli. Inhalation of the dust constitutes a potential carcinogenic hazard. Ensure
that an adequate suction line/ventilation is available in the workspace and near the machines.
• Inhalation the dust of the product may trigger silicosis.
• Employers must provide Class P3 respiratory protection.
• Heating the investment compound above 200°C will result in the formation of ammonia.
Ammonia irritates the respiratory organs.
• May cause mechanical irritation of the skin and mucosa of the eye and respiratory passages.
• Irritation and caustic reactions to the skin and mucosa must be expected on local contact.
1.1 Information for the processing of mixing liquids for dental investment materials
Following contact with skin:
Wash with plenty of water.
Following eye contact:
Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water keeping eyelid open.
In case of persistent discomfort: Consult an ophthalmologist.
Mixing liquids are alkaline.
