Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Service Manual.
2. Remove tire and wheel assembly from vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Service Manual.
3. Position the wheel insert (1) to the wheel (3).
Caution: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that
application. Use the correct fastemer in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
4. From the backside of the wheel, secure the wheel insert with the two fasteners (2).
Note: As you tighten make sure your insert is centered on the spoke with even spaces on both sides. Do not use metal prying
tools as this will damage the Wheel Inserts. Only use a non marring plastic tool to aid if needed.
Tighten
• Initial torque fasteners to 1.01 N.m (8.94 lb in).
• Final torque fasteners to 1.24 N.m (11.0 lb in).
5. Repeat steps for remaining wheel inserts.
6. Install tire and wheel assemblies to vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Service Manual.
7. Lower vehicle.
