10.2.4 Descaling
Limescale is a natural part of the water used for machine
operation. It needs to be removed regularly as it may clog
the water and coffee circuits of your appliance.
The machine is able to warn the user as soon as descaling
becomes necessary.
The warning signal appears when:
• the parameter that enables the alert is active;
• the dispensed water counter has reached the set limit: the
limit depends on the hardness of the water.
The water hardness value must be manually set. For more
details, see the "Measuring and Adjusting Water Hardness"
chapter.
When descaling is required, the descaling symbol will
appear on display with an exclamation mark.
The warning signal does not block the operation anyway.
This operation needs to be carried out before the
appliance stops working properly, as in this case its repair
is not covered by warranty.
The procedure can only be
activated from the quick
setup menu.
Descaling from the quick menu.

aumont of active alerts.

next to the "Descaling" option.
