Connect shift knob light to vehicle. Switch on
vehicle lighting and carry out function test. Take
shift knob off supplementary wiring harness again.
Then re-install the dismantled parts in the reverse
order of disassembly.
5. Fit shift knob with light and
gearshift lever cover
F 46 25 008 ZS
Insert pin housing (E) of the shift knob (1) through
the opening in the gearshift lever cover (2) which is
still detached.
F 46 25 009 ZS
Place the shift knob (1) and gearshift lever cover (2)
on the gearshift lever. Connect together socket
housing (D) and pin housing (E).
The installed cable should not be allowed to
chafe in the console area.
Place gearshift lever cover (2) in the centre console
and press it in firmly.
