TM
Installation Instructions
Occupant Copy
Features
• Integrates a Stanza lighting control system with equipment
that has contact closure I/O, including:
- O ccupant and vacancy sensors
- M otorized window treatments
- A V equipment
- S ecurity systems
- T hermostats
• Provides five inputs and five outputs.
• Provides both normally open (NO) and normally closed
(NC) dry contacts.
• Using the inputs, contact closures outputs from other
equipment can operate Stanza devices to:
- S elect scenes.
- T urn lights on or off.
• Using the outputs, other Stanza devices can:
- T rigger outputs to control other equipment.
- Provide status feedback to other equipment.
• Supports an external device drawing up to 100 mA. Note
that the power is supplied directly from the external low-
voltage PELV.
Mounting
1. M ount the interface directly on a wall, as shown in the
Mounting Diagram, using two #6 (M3) screws (not
included).
2. W hen mounting, provide sufficient space for the antenna
and connecting cables.
3. M ount in an accessible location for convenient access to
DIP switches, LEDs, and terminal blocks.
4. T he unit cannot be mounted in a full metal enclosure. If
mounting in a metal enclosure is necessary, antenna must
protrude out of a knockout or other hole. The antenna
may not be removed or mounted remotely.
5. C onnect wiring as shown in the Wiring Diagram. Use wire
sizes as specified in the Wiring Diagram.
6. T he SZ-IO should be mounted no less than 3 ft (1 m) from
motorized window treatments for proper RF performance.
7. T he SZ-IO must remain accessible after commissioning.
8. T he SZ-IO must be connected to Earth/Ground or
Chassis Ground for ESD protection (see wiring diagram).
