• Wear sufficient protective clothing and protective goggles. It is possible to considerably reduce the risk of accidents and
injuries by wearing protective equipment such as e. g. dust masks, antiskid safety boots, safety helmets and ear protection.
• Avoid starting up the tool by mistake or unintentionally. Make sure that the device is disconnected from the compressed-air
supply after use or during transportation.
• Check if all connections are firmly seated (in particular screws and nuts) and the hoses in particular regarding damages of the
compressed-air lines and of connection pieces before each connection and before each use.
• Do not overstretch yourself and make sure that you are standing safely and having a stable balance of your body in order to
be able to have the tool under control at any time and even in uninspected situations.
• Wear appropriate clothing. Avoid wearing loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves always away from
mobile parts, since they might get caught which would result in severe injuries.
Exemplary illustration of a compressed-air device
Requirements for the supplied compressed-air
• Connect the device to clean, dry air at a pressure,
which does not exceed the maximum working pressure, according to the
technical data of this device. A higher pressure would considerably reduce the service life of the device and can cause severe
accidents.
• Connect the device to the compressed-air by using supply lines, hoses and connections of the prescribed cross-section and
size (refer to above illustration).
• Do not mount any quick-action coupling directly to the handle of the machine.
• In order that the device is working properly the compressor power must be at least 10 percent higher than the indicated
consumption of the compressed-air tool.
• Please observe the technical data in this instruction manual and the safety instructions for compressed-air driven machines.
• Theo Förch GmbH & Co.KG supplies you tools together with the compressed-air devices which allow you to work rapidly and
safely.
• YOU YOURSELF are the most important safety factor for this and any other device.
• Your diligence and estimation are the best protection against accidents. We cannot mention all possible dangers but we are
trying to highlight the most important ones. This device and its accessories must not be modified.
• Only qualified staff is allowed to use this device.
• Only deposit the tool, when the rotating parts have come to standstill.
• Do not operate the device while carrying/transporting it.
• Always hold the tool firmly and safely with the hand and position yourself and your body and arm in a way that you are able to
absorb blow-backs which might occur during usage.
• Keep your hands away from rotating parts. Also here blow-backs might occur.
• Switch off the device if it is getting jammed or blocking. Do not restart the tool as long as it is blocked. First remove the
compressed-air lines before you try to release the tool from the position where it got jammed. Check the reason for blocking
and take corresponding corrective measures.
Risks of compressed-air supply:
• Compressed-air can cause severe injuries!
• Always turn off the air supply. Deflate the hose until it is depressurized and disconnect the air supply to the device if it is not
used before changing the device add-ons or before performing repairs.
• Never direct the air jet towards yourself or other persons.
• Whipping hoses can cause severe injuries. Make sure that the hoses are not damaged and that all connections are correctly
mounted and firmly seated.
• Never exceed the maximum air pressure indicated on the type-plate respectively of max. 6.3 bars.
• Follow the installation instructions!

Maintenance
• Have damaged or worn parts replaced by original spare parts by your distributer. If non-authorized spare parts are used it
may result in malfunctions of the tool and injuries of persons.
• Regularly check if there are fractures on the tool, unusual gaps, offset and if the mobile parts are running smoothly.
• In case of distinctive features the device must no longer be used before the device is examined by an authorized specialized
shop. Please note that lots of accidents are caused due to bad or insufficiently maintained tools.
Device application:
• Cleaning gun: To clean soiling on cars.
For your own safety it is necessary to observe the following items:
Before commissioning the TORNADOR® Black, completely and thoroughly read, observe and follow the operating instructions
including the safety instructions.
Then keep the operating instructions at an appropriate place – accessible for each user of the device. The TORNADOR® Black
must only be installed, used, cleaned and maintained by competent staff having understood and following these instructions. In
case of improper use of the TORNADOR® Black as well as in case of any modification or combination with unsuitable foreign
parts or improper cleaning agents it may result in property damages, severe damages to health of your staff as well as of third
parties and animals. Observe and follow the applicable safety instructions regulations for the working place and health and
safety regulations of the corresponding country or of the corresponding range of usage of the TORNADOR® Black (for instance
the German Accident Prevention Regulations).
Safety instructions:
• This device is not isolated against electrical tensions and electricity. Imperatively avoid any contact of the TORNADOR®
Black and the escaping liquid with electrical devices, electricity and tensions.
CAUTION: DANGER TO LIFE!
• The TORNADOR® Black must not be used in explosive environments.
