Working of the RMC50.
The RMC50 goes in Automatic mode when the power supply is turned on. The visual display
(6C) is off. Press the impulse push-button (6B) to switch from Automatic to Manual, or vice
versa. The visual display (6C) remains on constantly when the RMC50 is in manual mode.
When the impulse push-button (6A) is used with the RMC50 in manual mode, the RMC50 runs
in the following cycle after each push-button impulse: Up-Stop-Down-Stop. Consequently the
motor first runs "Up" then stops, then "Down" and then stops again. If the visual display (6C)
flashes then the run-time protection has been activated.
Fig. 2 2
Run-time protection.
The RMC50 is fitted with run-time protection which protects the tube motor against overheating
if it is not switched off by its limit switches. It is therefore important that the maximum run-time is
set correctly. The activation of run-time protection is indicated by the unit's visual display which
shows that there is a system fault.
1. Determine the system's maximum run-time.
2. Set the dip switches in accordance with the following schedule. This time set must be longer
than the run-time.

When the run-time protection is activated, the visual display gives the following indicators:
Long On and short OFF: The limit switch "Up" has not been reached or is defective
Long OFF and short ON: The limit switch "DOWN" has not been reached or is defective
