COMPULSORY REGULATORY CHECKS

Check on start-up (or starting back up): in compliance with the national regulations.

ƒ Compulsory periodical check in compliance with the national regulations. Recommended every
12 months by TRACTEL SOLUTIONS SAS.
ƒ A thorough examination paying particular attention to any alteration of parts due to an impact,
corrosion, cracking or deformation must be conducted a minimum of twice a year, every month
in the case of heavy-duty use or in an aggressive atmosphere.
ƒ TRACTEL SOLUTIONS SAS is at your disposal in order to conduct any regulatory check.
Before each use
ƒ The good condition of the strap is the guarantee of security and good functioning of the turning
over pulley. It is necessary to always check its good condition and to take care with its storage.
ƒ Visually check all the parts of the pulley.
Check the good standing of the safety catch.
ƒ
Check that the sheave can turn freely.
ƒ
Yearly check
The turning over pulleys used in manufacturing, covered by article L.231-1 of the working code,
ƒ
must be checked each year (in accordance with article R. 233-11). This annual control must
include all necessary examinations in order to detect any damage or potential problems that
could cause dangerous situations.
Check if equipment doesn't have any deformation, fissures or other defaults. If upper hooking
ƒ
ring has more than 10 % wear, the pulley must be replaced.
ƒ Check presence and legibility of signalling plate.
ƒ Note all controlled information on a register.
Storage
It is advisable to remove the strap from the pulley for its storage. Correctly store the strap and the
instructions for use with the pulley.
Keep the material in a dry place, protected from bad weather.
Ensure that the pulley is stored with no loads attached.
Functioning anomalies
The sheave rotation must be free.
Maintenance of the equipment
Maintenance inspections and operations must be performed by qualified persons and specialists.
ƒ Pay attention to the condition of the strap and replace it in case of deformation or irregular
wear.
ƒ Any part with a defect must be replaced by a TRACTEL SOLUTIONS SAS part.
ƒ Any deformed equipment must be immediately withdrawn from use.
