Using the rear view video system
➤ Change out of reverse gear.
✓ The monitor ceases to display an image.
✓ The status LED on the monitor continues to illuminate.
Aligning the camera
➤ Press the POWER button to switch the monitor on (9 1, page 5) or ...
➤ Engage reverse gear.
✓ The monitor image should show the rear or the bumper of the vehicle at
the bottom edge of the screen (v A, page 12). The middle of the bumper
should be in the middle of the screen.
➤ The correct setting can be attained by turning the camera in the camera
bracket (v B, page 12).
➤ Once you have adjusted the camera correctly, tighten the two screws
that attach the camera to the camera bracket.

Using the rear view video system
The camera and the monitor are activated automatically when you engage the
reverse gear, when the ignition is turned on or the engine is running. You can
switch on the camera and monitor without engaging reverse gear (when the
ignition is on) by switching the POWER switch to ON instead of STDBY.
Setting brightness and contrast
Tip!
To find the optimum setting, make the setting with the vehicle
lighting switched off.
➤ Set the brightness to suit your requirements using the BRIGHT control
(9 3, page 5).
➤ Set the desired contrast using the CONTRAST control (9 4, page 5).
You can also adjust the brightness of the monitor to the time of day.
➤ Switch the monitor display between the DAY or NIGHT setting with
the MODE switch (9 7, page 5).
The monitor image is slightly darker in the night setting.
