Volume setting
The microphone in the camera (a 3, page 5) records noises in the area,
which you can hear on the monitor loudspeaker.
➤ Set the desired volume using the VOLUME control (9 5, page 5).
Selecting the camera
You can connect two cameras to the monitor.
➤ Use the CAMERA switch (9 6, page 5) to set whether you want to
display the image from camera 1 (C1) or camera 2 (accessory) (C2).
Inverting the monitor image
You can mirror (invert) the monitor image. When the image is inverted,
it appears as though you were looking into the rear view mirror.
➤ Use the MIRROR dip switch (0 6, page 6) to set whether you want to
display the image normally or inverted.
If the dip switch is in the lowest position the picture is inverted.
If the dip switch is in the top position the picture is displayed normally.
Using a distance scale
A distance scale (8 5, page 5) is included in the scope of delivery.
This can help you judge distances on the monitor.
➤ Stick the distance scale on the monitor (w A, page 12).
➤ Place an object (e.g. box, rubbish bin) in the range of the camera and
switch the rear view video system on.
➤ Move the object so that it is within one of the units on the scale.
You can now measure this distance (e.g. fourth scale line from the trailer
coupling = 2 m) as an orientation aid (w B, page 12).
Note
This orientation value will change if the camera is turned in its
bracket (e.g. by touching an obstacle).
