Installation and configuration of a UPS (Back-up) system
Enter the following parameters:
Setting
SOC MAX
SOC GRID
SOC MIN
SOC DESCX
SOC RECX
CHARGING POWER
Once configured, save the changes.
4. Back-up Function
In this type of UPS installation, the back-up function must be activated so that, in the event of a
power cut, the inverter provides energy to the critical loads from the batteries.
To activate this function, enter via Display:
Menu > Configuration > Operation Mode > Back-up Function > Activate
Confirm by clicking on "OK" and save the changes.
For further information on this function please see the document "Use and
Settings of the Battery-Backup Function for Single Phase Installations",
available on the
5. Contactor for neutral ground connection for TT installations
Identify correctly the TT or TN grounding system of the installation before
proceeding with the configuration.
In the case of installations with TN neutral system, this contactor is not necessary.
In the event of a power cut, the INGECON SUN STORAGE 1Play disconnects the line and the
neutral from the public grid. To keep the charge neutral connected to ground, as required in TT
networks, an external contactor must be installed.
This contactor is managed by a digital output from the ISS 1Play so that the contactor is closed
in the event of disconnection from the public grid and open once the grid is connected.
To configure the digital output, go to Display:
Menu > Configuration > Digital I/O > Digital Output 1 > Neutral to ground
Confirm by clicking on "OK" and save the changes.

Maximum SOC for charging the batteries from the photovoltaic energy (%). A
value of 100% is recommended.
Maximum SOC for charging the batteries from the public grid (%).
SOC used as hysteresis together with SOC GRID to restart the battery charging
(%). Avoids daily cycles and extends battery service life.
Minimum SOC for discharging batteries to the critical loads when the public grid
is not available (%). A value of 50% is recommended for lead-acid batteries.
Please refer to battery manufacturer for Lithium-ion batteries.
Reboot SOC of supply to the critical loads using photovoltaic energy (no grid
available) (%). The same value as for SOC MIN is recommended.
Maximum power for charging the batteries from the public grid (W).
