5 Pressure disk, Ø 45 x 30 mm, 10 mm thick, 2 pieces
USE
1. Disassemble the supported component (fork, pedal crank).
2. Remove the defective, old bearing.
3. Open the lock on the step pressure piece (4), for this purpose turn the disk to
the right from the locked (4a) into the opened (4b) position in order to expose
the through hole.
4. With the smaller diameter ahead, place the step pressure piece (4) on the
spindle side with adjustment grooves.
5. Select the desired groove and lock the step pressure piece (4) again. The
selection of the groove can still be changed when assembling the bearing.
For moving to another groove, the tool must be tension free.
6. Place one of the new bearing shells onto the step pressure piece (4). In doing so, ensure for the
correct alignment of the bearing shell.
7. Now take the pre-assembled spindle / pressure piece unit and insert the spindle into the bearing
tube with the thread side ahead.
8. Place the other new bearing shell onto the spindle, in doing so, ensure for the correct alignment
of the bearing shell.
9. Install the step pressure disk (2) on the spindle (3) with the small diameter ahead.
10. Turn the spindle nut with handle (1) onto the spindle with the silver side ahead, and pre-tension
the tool slightly.
11. Check the correct seating of the tool and bearing shells.
By turning the spindle nut clockwise, pull the bearing shells into the bearing tube.
12. The pressure disks (5) also be used as compensation, if necessary.
